Hand Grenade Recovered from Bike Riders in Ludhiana: One Rider Escaped on Bike, Companion Arrested, Accused from Muktsar Border Area, Connections to Jail.
The PCR unit in Ludhiana, Punjab, stopped two youngsters on a bike for checking after they were deemed suspicious. During this, one teenager fled on the bike, giving the authorities the slip, while his friend was captured by the police. When the apprehended guy was searched, a hand grenade was seized from him, which caused anxiety among the police officers.
Arrested Accused
The apprehended suspect has been identified as Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Muktsar. However, no police official has yet confirmed this. The police did not reveal anything until late evening.
But from morning till dusk, the high-ranking officers stayed inside the CIA staff buildings. The entire day, officers were engaged with the inquiry. It is known that the Basti Jodhewal Police Station has launched a case on this subject.
PCR Team Apprehended Suspect on Shivpuri Road
The PCR squad was patrolling in the Shivpuri Road vicinity. During this, they observed two strange guys approaching on a bike. The police stopped them after growing suspicious. The person sitting in the back got off the bike, while the second person remained seated on the starting bike. As soon as the police’s attention was distracted, the bike driver left. However, the individual identified as Kuldeep was apprehended by the police, and a hand grenade was found from him upon search.
The PCR personnel quickly alerted the control room about this. Following this, police officials one by one began arriving to take custody of the arrested person.
The grenade was transported from the Muktsar Border Area and concealed on the highway.
They were found to have brought the grenade from Muktsar’s border region. A prisoner incarcerated there is hooked to its wires. On the orders of a jailed prisoner, they were transporting this grenade. They were both assigned to transport the grenade to Ludhiana and conceal it on the road between Ladhowal and the zoo.
The Muktsar jail will also be investigated by the police. Authorities are currently looking into whether these people were meant to carry the device farther or if it was later planned to be picked up by someone else. Additionally, the police are reviewing CCTV footage from several locations. The cops are closely examining numerous important CCTV footage that they have discovered.
