First Astronauts to Orbit Earth’s Poles Share Stunning Video of Antarctica

In a historic moment, astronauts aboard the SpaceX Fram2 mission became the first humans to orbit Earth’s polar region, capturing breathtaking footage of Antarctica from space.

The video, filmed early Wednesday from the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, shows the vast, snow-covered tundra from approximately 285 miles (460 km) above the Earth. Astronaut Chun Wang, a Chinese-born crypto billionaire, shared the footage on X, writing, “Hello, Antarctica. Unlike previously anticipated, from 460 km above, it is only pure white, no human activity is visible.”

Elon Musk reshared the video, calling it a milestone: “The first astronauts to orbit the poles.” The post quickly gained nearly 55 million views, with social media users expressing awe and excitement about the mission.

The team will orbit Earth at an altitude of around 440 km, studying the northern and southern poles while conducting 22 research projects on human health in space.

This groundbreaking mission marks a new era in space exploration, bringing humanity closer to understanding the planet’s most remote regions from an entirely new perspective.
