Fire at SBI Branch in Amritsar: Short Circuit in Electric Panel Caused the Accident; Furniture and Bank Documents Burnt to Ashes; 3 Fire Engines Reached the Spot.
Early this morning, a fire unexpectedly started at the SBI branch in Amritsar, Punjab. In the fire, documents, furniture, and other bank-stored paperwork were reduced to ashes. The fire is thought to have been caused by a short circuit in the electric panel.
The first level was where the fire began, and it quickly spread to other areas of the structure. It also consumed some of the bank’s most essential documents. When the ATM security guard noticed smoke emanating from the building, he alerted the fire department. No one was harmed because the bank was closed when the incident occurred.
Burned Electronic Equipment Caught Fire
At six in the morning this morning, the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in the Katda Jaimal Singh neighborhood of Amritsar unexpectedly caught fire. The fire department personnel arrived at the location right away after learning of the situation. Following this, the fire was contained inside the bank and did not spread widely, preventing significant damage. Nevertheless, the fire damaged some of the bank’s technological devices.
Three Fire Engines Arrived at the Location
Three fire engines from the fire department arrived at the scene after getting the information. After arduous efforts, the fire was brought under control. According to fire officials, the fire began on the building’s first story and was gradually spreading. A serious mishap was prevented by promptly putting out the fire.
The investigation into the true cause of the incident is still underway, and teams from the Police and incident Department are on the scene.
