Farmer Leader Detained at Home.
The ਪੁਲਿਸ surrounded farmer leader Charan Singh Kaler Ghuman of the Kisan Sangharsh Committee late at night and placed him under house arrest as a result of the ‘Rail Roko’ (Stop the Train) call made by farmer organizations ਅੱਜ.
The Circle President of the Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Charan Singh Kaler Ghuman, was placed under house arrest late last night after a large number of ਪੁਲਿਸ officers from various Amritsar Rural ਪੁਲਿਸ stations surrounded his home in the fields outside. This prevented Ghuman from getting to the rail blockade location.
Many farmers from neighboring villages began to arrive and congregate outside the farmer leader’s home when they heard that the ਪੁਲਿਸ had encircled it. Speaking to the farmers from the roof of his home on this particular occasion, Charan Singh Kaler Ghuman declared that he and his companions would arrive at the location where the trains are to be halted regardless of the number of ਪੁਲਿਸ parties surrounding them.
