Employees in Chandigarh will no longer get away with it.
Pay will be determined by biometric attendance; the administration has now issued orders after the full wage was previously received.
Employees in Chandigarh might now lose if they arrive late for work. According to directives from the Chandigarh government, an employee’s pay will be withheld if their attendance is not tracked in the biometric system. The employees’ worried expressions are evident after this directive.
To determine how many employees are connected to the biometric system and how many are not, the administration has requested a list of every employee. Soon, employees who are not already connected to this system will be added as well. In order to generate the compensation bill on time, the directive further stipulates that the biometric attendance report of employees must be given each month prior to the deadline.
Employees that arrive late for work in the morning and leave the office early in the evening may find this order problematic. An employee’s biometric entrance will now show the time they entered the office and the time they left. They used to get paid in full, but now any employee who does not do their job well will have money taken out of their pay cheque.
The commissioner has already implemented it.
Additionally, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation’s employees would only be paid based on their biometric attendance (fingerprint). Amit Kumar, the Corporation Commissioner, has said unequivocally that anybody whose attendance is not recorded in the biometric system will not receive compensation. According to the commissioner, this decision was made to prevent phoney attendance and to improve the system’s integrity and openness. There will be no exceptions for employees who disregard this guideline.
