Earthquake News: Earth Trembles with 3.6 Magnitude Quake! Know Where the Tremors Were Felt?
At 2:07 AM today, Upper Siang, Arunachal Pradesh, experienced earthquake shocks. According to the Richter scale, this earthquake’s strength was 3.6. The earthquake happened at a “shallow” depth of 10 kilometers below the surface, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Shallow earthquakes are seen as “more dangerous.”
Earthquakes that happen near the surface, or at a shallow depth, are typically seen as more dangerous. This is due to the fact that seismic waves from shallow earthquakes must travel a shorter distance to reach the surface. This causes the ground to tremble more violently, which raises the possibility of additional structure damage and fatalities.
