DIG Bhullar’s Appearance in CBI Court Today: 5-Day Remand Ends; Punjab’s IAS-IPS Officers on ED’s Radar.

DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar of the Punjab Police will appear in the CBI Special Court today (November 11) following the conclusion of his five-day CBI remand. Numerous pieces of evidence connected to the case have been discovered by the CBI. As a result, the CBI may once more ask for a remand extension.

On Monday, middleman Krishan Sharda’s four-day police remand came to an end. He was placed under judicial detention by the court. The case’s next hearing is scheduled for November 20.

Krishan’s attorney asked the court to set up a medical checkup for him after noticing that he was limping.

CBI Investigation Expands: ED to Investigate Illegal Property of 50 IAS-IPS Officers

The CBI is keeping an eye on around fifty officials.

The Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) probe into DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar’s corruption case is currently growing quickly. Documents related to illicit investments made by more than fifty Punjabi IAS and IPS personnel have been discovered by the CBI.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is then getting ready to join the probe. A comprehensive record of these officers’ dealings and benami properties has been given to the ED by the CBI. In accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the ED will now look into the money trail.

Claims: Investment via Krishan Sharda
These officials are accused of using Krishan Sharda, the middleman who was detained with Bhullar, to invest their “black money”, or unaccounted wealth, in real estate. During Bhullar and Sharda’s interrogation, the CBI discovered this vital information.

Crores of Benami Properties
The CBI claims that both Krishan Sharda and Bhullar had amassed assets valued at crores of rupees in the names of their acquaintances and relatives, all of which are regarded as benami (proxy-owned) property.
