Death of ‘Karna’ of Mahabharat, Pankaj Dheer: Suffered from Cancer, Last Rites to be held at 4:30 PM.


On November 9, 1956, Pankaj Dheer was born in Punjab.

On Wednesday, 68-year-old actor Pankaj Dheer passed away. He portrayed Danveer Karna in the hit television series Mahabharat, directed by B.R. Chopra. Cancer had been plaguing him for a long time.

Pankaj Dheer appeared in a number of Hindi motion pictures and television shows. He appeared in television series like Yug, The Great Maratha, Chandrakanta, and Badho Bahu. Additionally, he starred in the films Soldier, Sadak, Baadshah, and Aashik Aawara.

In a statement, the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) formally acknowledged Pankaj Dheer’s passing.

Death

As stated by CINTAA, “We regret to notify you of the passing of our former Trustee and Honourable General Secretary, Pankaj Dheer ji, on October 15, 2025. His final ceremonies will take place at Pawan Hans, Vile Parle (West), close to Mumbai, tonight at 4:30 PM.

C.L. Dheer, Pankaj Dheer’s father, worked as a producer and director. In the 1960s and 1970s, C.L. Dheer appeared in numerous motion pictures. Nikitin Dheer, Pankaj’s son, is an actor as well. Actress Kratika Sengar is Nikitin’s spouse.
