The chairman of Damdami Taksal Ajnala, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, has made grave accusations against the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), claiming that the group lacks the authority to commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s 350th birthday. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s anniversary.
He announced that the Taksal will reject this anniversary and that a demonstration will be conducted wherever the SGPC hosts the event. According to the head of the Taksal, they are willing to participate if the Sikh community and sangat (congregation) band together to commemorate the occasion.
Additionally, “Bhai Amrik Singh stated that they will not back down, even if the protest turns violent. He did, however, guarantee complete reverence for the Panj Pyare and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Offerings will be offered to the Panj Pyare and the swarups (physical manifestations of the text) of Guru Sahib, but the Badal Dal and their supporters will still face strong opposition.
