Convict Escaped From Court in Kapurthala: Caught After Being Chased by Employees, Had Been Sentenced to 10 Years in Drug Trafficking Case.
A prisoner at the Kapurthala Court Complex attempted to flee after receiving a 10-year sentence in a drug trafficking (NDPS) case. But a Naib Court and a lawyer’s clerk apprehended him right away.

The culprit who tried to flee from police custody is being dealt with, according to DSP Sheetal.
Jatinder Singh, a native of Khukrain village, was found guilty by Additional Sessions Judge Lakshmi Kapila’s court and given a sentence of ten years in prison and a fine of one lakh rupees. Following the imposition of the punishment, Nayab Court Tarsem Singh was transporting the accused to the prison. Jatinder Singh, a prisoner, managed to get away from police custody at this period.
Security staff sounded the alarm right away. With the assistance of a lawyer and a clerk, Nayab Court Tarsem Singh was able to capture Jatinder Singh. In 2018, this NDPS case was filed at the police station.
