Common Calendar to be Implemented in All Three Universities of ਪੰਜਾਬ: Admissions are to be Done Through the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ Admission Portal; Exams and Holidays to be Simultaneous.
ਪੰਜਾਬ University Chandigarh, Punjabi University Patiala, and Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar are the three Punjabi universities that will now use the same calendar. The ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ Admission Portal will also be used for the admissions process at all three universities. In this regard, all three universities have received a letter and instructions from the Higher Education Department.
Starting with the upcoming academic year, 2026–2027, all three of ਪੰਜਾਬ’s universities and the institutions that are connected with them will have a fully centralized admissions process. The ਪੰਜਾਬ Higher Education Department’s letter to the universities makes it very clear that a consolidated online admissions process will be implemented by the ਸਰਕਾਰ.
The three state universities and their affiliated colleges will have uniform admission dates, holidays, and exam schedules for undergraduate (UG) and graduate (PG) programs under this (new) structure. The College Development Councils of ਪੰਜਾਬ University Chandigarh, Punjabi University Patiala, and Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar have received this letter from the Higher Education Department.
