Case Filed Against Three in ₹7 Lakh Fraud

Three people have been charged by the Bassi Pathana City police with allegedly defrauding around ₹7 lakh under the guise of getting a land. According to the information obtained, Ranjit Kaur claimed in the police complaint that she was defrauded of ₹7,19,400 by Avtar Singh of the village of Marwa, Gurmanjit Singh of the village of Mahdian, and Harjit Singh of Bassi Pathana, who promised to buy her a land in Bassi Pathana. However, she did not receive her money back, nor was the plan secured for her.
Police have filed a complaint against Avtar Singh, Gurmanjit Singh, and Harjit Singh at Bassi Pathana police station under sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing surrender of property) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC based on the complainant’s statement. Police in Bassi Pathana City Chowki have begun looking into the situation.
