BREAKING: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ Reaches High Court Against Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ: Says—FIR Filed, But They are Not Giving Custody of the Accused; Camped Outside the ਪੁਲਿਸ Station.
Regarding the custody of Navneet Chaturvedi, the defendant in the forgery case during the Rajya Sabha by-election, the Chandigarh and ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ are still at odds. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ is requesting that Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ take the suspects into custody. In the meantime, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ have set up camp outside Chandigarh’s Sector 3 ਪੁਲਿਸ station.
In his appeal, Navneet also inquired as to the number of FIRs that have been filed in ਪੰਜਾਬ against him. He has also asked the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ to protect his life and property.
It should be mentioned that Navneet Chaturvedi claimed the backing of ten AAP MLAs when he submitted his nomination for the ਪੰਜਾਬ seat in the Rajya Sabha. He presented the signatures for this, but the MLAs deemed them to be fake.
After that, yesterday (October 14), the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ filed a complaint and travelled to Chandigarh to take him into custody. However, he was protected by the Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ because of the Rajya Sabha nomination. The Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ refused to let him travel to ਪੰਜਾਬ as a result.
As a result, the ਪੰਜਾਬ and Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ clashed at Sukhna Lake. They drew pistols from both sides. Kanwardeep, the SSP for the Chandigarh ਪੁਲਿਸ, finally arrived near Sukhna Lake and brought the defendant to the Sector 3 ਪੁਲਿਸ Station. Additionally, the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ were instructed to appear there with their documentation.
