As a result, Punjab is now hosting big, spectacular sporting events.
Punjabi youth are turning back to sports and avoiding drug usage as a result of the growth in sports culture, according to MLA Kulwant Singh.
MLA Kulwant Singh said it is admirable to organise sports festivals and create such an environment for the state’s athletes while releasing the poster for the Mela Gugga Maari and a great wrestling competition at hamlet Kumbra. Praise should be given to the planners and everyone who helps make these events possible. He added that equal recognition should be given to the many sports fans who come to these festivals to support the sportsmen and organisers. “Wrestling tournaments and rural sports festivals are part of our rich heritage,” he said.
