ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ Bhagwant Mann has raised questions about the Centre’s claims of success in Operation Sindoor. A day after his “One Nation, One Husband” comment aimed at the BJP, Mann said that if the operation was truly a success, there would be no need for the ਸਰਕਾਰ to keep boasting about it.
“When you win a war, it’s clear to everyone. You don’t have to keep reminding ਲੋਕ,” he said, referring to the BJP’s earlier plan to send sindoor (vermilion) to every household, which was later dropped.
Mann also criticised the ਮੁੱਖ of Defence Staff’s recent comments made in Singapore, where he reportedly said that it’s not about how many jets were shot down, but why they were. Mann said, “They’re making these statements themselves, and then blaming me for supporting Pakistan.”
His remarks came after Union ਮੰਤਰੀ of State for Railways, Ravneet Bittu, accused Mann of siding with Pakistan for questioning the ਸਰਕਾਰ’s narrative around Operation Sindoor.
The political spat started when Mann alleged that the BJP was using the operation’s success for votes.
