‘AwaSar’ Outlet Starts at Adampur Airport: Indigenous Products Will Get a Boost, Director Says—50 Percent Discount on Rent.
At Jalandhar’s Adampur Airport, two “AwaSar” stores have opened with the aim of providing women, self-help organizations, and regional craftspeople with a platform to display their skills and native goods. The initiative’s goal is for an airport to use its product policy to support traditional and rural art.
Under this program, women entrepreneurs and craftsmen can rent outlets up to 200 square feet for a month at discounted rates at airports throughout the nation. The rental time may also be extended for an additional month if necessary.
Rent Discount of 50%
Two AwaSar stores have opened here, and they will be given a 50% rent discount, according to the director of Adampur Airport. He added the airport director’s office has further information on this topic for those who are interested.
Chief Security Officer Mohan Pawar, DSP Jaswant Kaur of Punjab Police, and Airport Authority representatives Amit Kumar (Assistant General Manager Civil), Suraj Yadav (Manager Electrical), and Surya Pratap Singh (JE Operations) were in attendance on this particular occasion.
