Ashim Kumar Ghosh Takes Oath as New Haryana Governor

Ashim Kumar Ghosh was sworn in as the new Governor of Haryana on Monday. He replaces Bandaru Dattatraya in the post. The oath of office was administered by Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu at a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh.

Many important people attended the event, including Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Ghosh, who is 81 years old, is a political scientist and a former professor at Shri Shikshayatan College in North Kolkata. He has been known for his deep knowledge, calm nature, and clear views during his time with the BJP in West Bengal.

Even though he stepped away from active politics nearly 20 years ago, Ghosh is still respected in the party. His appointment as governor is seen as a way to honor his long service and to show respect for senior BJP leaders who helped grow the party in West Bengal, where it was once very weak.
