The Officiating Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, has strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and offered condolences to the families of the victims. He prayed to Akal Purakh (God) for peace to the departed souls and strength to the grieving families.
Gargaj said the attack reminded him of the 2000 Chittisinghpura massacre in Kashmir, where 35 Sikhs were killed. He also noted that the truth about that incident is still unknown.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami also condemned the attack. He called it an inhuman and brutal act, saying such violence goes against spiritual and humanitarian values.
