After India’s missile strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor, National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval spoke with his counterparts in several countries on Wednesday.
He told them that India does not want to increase tensions but is fully prepared to respond strongly if Pakistan takes any aggressive steps.
Doval explained the details of the operation, calling it measured, careful, and not meant to escalate the situation. He said the strikes were only against terrorist camps and done in a responsible way.
Doval spoke with leaders from the US (NSA and Secretary of State Marco Rubio), UK (Jonathan Powell), Saudi Arabia (Musaid Al Aiban), UAE (Sheikh Tahnoon), and Japan (Masataka Okano). He also connected with Russia’s NSA Sergei Shoigu, China’s top diplomat Wang Yi, and France’s adviser Emmanuel Bonne.
Officials said Doval will continue to speak with more global leaders in the coming days to keep them informed about India’s actions and intentions.
