An Air India flight (AI 379) flying from Phuket, Thailand to New Delhi received a bomb threat on Friday morning, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing back at Phuket International Airport.
The flight had taken off at 9:30 AM and was en route to India when authorities received the threat. The plane was immediately diverted and safely landed back in Phuket.
According to a statement on the airport’s official Facebook page, the airport is strictly following its bomb threat protocol under the Airport Contingency Plan (ACP) to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew.
Authorities are currently inspecting the aircraft, and further investigations are underway. So far, no injuries have been reported, and all passengers are safe.
