Early on Sunday morning, criminals in Chandigarh poured petrol on an XUV parked outside a residence, setting it on fire. The car was reduced to ashes as a result. Additionally, they broke the windows of a Wagon R that was parked close by before running away. The owner of the car claimed to have complained about junkies a few days prior and to believe that they were responsible for starting the fire.
The entire event was recorded by a CCTV camera. The Maloya Police Station crew responded as soon as the incident was reported. Following that, an inquiry into the CCTV footage has begun.
Tent businessman Hari Om, the car’s owner, complained to the police about his XUV being parked outside the house. He had been driving his other, smaller vehicle (Wagon R) for the last few days. He discovered that his XUV was on fire when he got up on Sunday morning at 4:30 AM. He set off an alert and attempted to put out the fire by pouring water with the assistance of his neighbors, but by then the automobile was totally burnt.
