Accused of Neighbour’s Murder Arrested in Ludhiana: Shot for Asking for ₹50, Accused Hid in Water Tank, Revolver Recovered from Home.


A young man named Himanshu was shot dead by his neighbour in the Ram Nagar neighbourhood of Ludhiana, Punjab, on the day of Dussehra. According to the police inquiry, a disagreement over a meagre ₹50 led to the murder. The deceased, Himanshu, and the accused, Gulshan, had been at odds over money for a long time. Himanshu had repeatedly demanded that he return the money, and the two had argued angrily on numerous occasions.

According to reports, Gulshan shot Himanshu after obtaining a weapon from a buddy. Sources claim that Gulshan, the accused, who was allegedly hiding under a water tank in this case, has been taken into custody by police. The matter will shortly be fully disclosed by the police.

No official has confirmed the accused’s arrest as of yet. When called to obtain case-related information, SHO Balwinder Kaur did not pick up the phone.

Recovered Illegal Revolver Used in Murder
According to the results of the initial police inquiry, the accused lacked a revolver licence. He carried an illicit weapon. The revolver was found in the accused’s home, according to police sources.

After an argument, the neighbour arrived at the store: According to Poonam, Himanshu’s sister-in-law, both of his brothers were present at the store. Gulshan, their neighbour, stopped by the store during this period. He got into an argument as soon as he got there. The neighbour returned home with a revolver in the meanwhile. He entered the store, gave Himanshu a straight blow to the forehead, and ran away.

The pistol was kept at home after the shooting, and he fled: Poonam claimed that he collapsed as soon as the neighbour shot him. The neighbour then grabbed the handgun and entered his home. After leaving the revolver there, he ran away. He warned others that it “wouldn’t be good” if someone adopted his name as he was leaving.

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) is where the accused is employed, according to locals. People are unaware of the position he has at GLADA. Currently, police are trying to obtain comprehensive information about him from GLADA.
