Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raman Arora has been arrested by the ਪੰਜਾਬ Vigilance Bureau (VB) while he was visiting a temple.
Sources say his arrest is connected to a corruption case involving Sukhdev Vashisht, a former Assistant Town Planner (ATP) of the Municipal Corporation, who was arrested last week.
Arora is accused of using Vashisht to send fake notices and take money from certain ਲੋਕ. After his arrest, the Vigilance Bureau also raided Arora’s house.
Ten days ago, the ਸਰਕਾਰ had taken away Arora’s security, which included 14 guards. Many expected action against him after that. More details about the case are still awaited.
