Five persons have been apprehended by the police in connection with a robbery that occurred in Bassi Pathana.
According to the report, Sandeep Singh Raika, a finance business employee, was robbed four days ago of a bag that contained Rs 82,300 and other stuff. The event took place on August 20 in Bassi Pathana, next to the D.K. Hotel. He was stopped, and his bag was grabbed by two motorbike riders with sharp weapons and covered faces.
DSP Raj Kumar Sharma said that five Bassi Pathana residents were taken into custody by the police in relation to the incident.
They are:
Rajnish Kumar
Hardeep Singh, also known as Nishu
Sharanjit Singh, also known as Ghuggi
Maninder Singh, also known as Mani, and Vijay.
The report also states that the people who were arrested suffered injuries. According to DSP Raj Kumar Sharma, the accused leapt from the roof to get away when a police squad brought them to an abandoned house to retrieve the stolen goods. The fall caused damage to four of the men’s legs and one to his arm, but the police were able to apprehend them right away.
