After Scrutiny of Nomination Papers, 111 Candidates Remain in the Fray for Zila Parishad and 680 for Panchayat Samiti

111 candidates for the Zila Parishad and 680 candidates for the Panchayat Samiti have been approved after the nomination papers for the elections were examined. Gurpreet Singh Gill, Additional District Election Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), supplied this data.

There were 148 nominations for the Zila Parishad, he said. Following the examination of the nominations, 111 nomination papers remained valid after 37 were rejected.
