Young Man Injured in Firing Near Religious Place in Kaunke Kalan: Area gripped by Fear.
Lovekaran Singh, a young man, was shot by unidentified attackers on Thursday night while visiting the Baba Rodu Shah Ji holy shrine in Kaunke Kalan village, close to Jagraon. Fear and trepidation have spread throughout the region as a result of this tragedy.

Lovekaran Singh was rushed right away to Jagraon Civil Hospital for treatment after being hit by the gunshot. The doctors sent him to Ludhiana right away because of his serious condition.
Lovekaran Singh said that he had traveled in a Swift car with a companion to pay his respects at Baba Rodu Shah Ji’s shrine while receiving treatment at Civil Hospital Jagraon. He claimed that as soon as he exited the vehicle, a shooter who was concealed behind him fired a shot that hit him close to the shoulder. The attackers drove off in a Scorpio.
Lovekaran Singh stated that although the attackers are from the Jagraon and Kaunke Kalan area, he had no prior animosity toward them.
The chief of the Sadar Police Station, Sub-Inspector (SI) Surjit Singh, verified the occurrence and said that the police were informed of the crime that had occurred close to Baba Rodu Ji’s temple. When the cops arrived, they saw broken windows from a car strewn all over the place.
SI Surjit Singh added that he spoke with the religious site’s president, who stated that two young guys had shown up in a Scorpio car and asked for the gate to be opened, saying they wanted to pay respect.
The matter is still being investigated by the police. Further legal action will shortly be taken against the attackers based on the claims made by the injured young guy, and the police are currently reviewing the CCTV footage in the vicinity of the incident location.
