Actor Jacqueline Fernandez expressed her eagerness to return for the sequel of the 2014 blockbuster Kick, which starred Salman Khan and was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film was a significant milestone in her career, propelling her into the limelight. At a press conference for the Zee Cine Awards, she shared her excitement about the franchise, stating, “I really do hope that it comes through and fingers crossed it will.”
Kick was a massive success, marking Khan’s first film to enter the Rs 200 crore club, and Fernandez is hopeful for its sequel, announced by Salman and Nadiadwala last year.
Looking ahead to 2025, Fernandez is enthusiastic about her upcoming projects, including Housefull 5 and the latest installment of the Welcome franchise, titled Welcome To The Jungle. She described the year as “exciting” with multiple releases on the horizon.
Regarding Housefull 5, she highlighted the fun of teaming up with the cast and crew again, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, among others. The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Fernandez also shared her thoughts on Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, calling it a “crazy comedy” and expressing her enjoyment during the shoot. Additionally, she is set to make her web series debut in April, adding to her busy and promising year ahead.
