Car Trapped Under Truck in Ludhiana: 4 People Injured, Driver Rescued After 2 Hours; Returning from UP.


On the Khanna National Highway, a traffic collision happened close to the village of Dahedu bridge. An Innova automobile struck the back of a broken-down truck late at night, at approximately 1:45 AM. Two ladies were among the four out of eight passengers in the Innova who were hurt in the collision.

The driver, Vijay Kumar (who lives in Ludhiana), Ajay Kumar (who lives in Samrala), Rekha, and Seema (who both live in Samrala) have been identified as the injured.

While the other three injured are being treated at Khanna, driver Vijay Kumar has been referred from Khanna Civil Hospital due to his critical condition.

Coming back from Meerut
They were coming back from Meerut, according to Ajay Kumar. Near the Dahedu bridge, the driver of the car ahead of them abruptly veered. Vijay Kumar, the driver of the Innova, attempted to rescue himself by swerving as well, but he failed to notice the broken-down vehicle, and the Innova collided with the back of the truck. Reporters were informed by injured Seema that Innova driver Vijay Kumar was severely stranded.

Vijay persisted in urging the other travelers to exit without giving up. Every passenger disembarked and asked onlookers for assistance. The Road Safety Force arrived at the location after obtaining the information. Vijay Kumar, the driver, was pulled from the vehicle after over two hours of battle by onlookers and the police.

The truck involved in the collision had a punctured tire, according to Inspector Sukhdev Singh. It was struck by the damaged Innova a few minutes later. Inspector Sukhdev Singh claims that they arrived at the location five minutes after receiving a call in the control room at 1:50 AM. Three women and two children were among the eight occupants of the Innova.
