Elderly Woman Injured by School Bus Collision in Jagraon: Accident While Taking a U-Turn, People Say—He Would Have Run Her Over If We Hadn’t Raised an Alarm.
On Tuesday, a private school bus struck an elderly woman at Rani Jhansi Chowk in Jagraon, causing serious injuries. Following the incident, there was a commotion at the scene. The injured woman, named as Jagraon resident Harbans Kaur, was taken to a hospital on Raikot Road by locals as soon as the tragedy occurred.
The bus was encircled by an irate mob that called for the driver to face severe consequences. According to witnesses, Harbans Kaur was making her way back home after paying her respects at Gurdwara Sahib, like she did every day. The bus was returning at this moment after dropping off kids at the school.

People claimed that the bus would have run over her if they hadn’t made a big noise. The woman’s leg was seriously hurt in the collision, but the bus driver was unaware of this. The mob also claimed that the children’s lives aboard the bus were in danger as a result of the driver’s carelessness. People were worried that a more serious collision would have happened if another car had arrived from the Raikot side at the same time.
The bus driver and other drivers promised to pay for the injured woman’s medical care after witnessing the public’s growing ire. After then, things subsided. As a result of the woman’s injuries, no complaint has yet been filed.
