In a significant restructuring of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), senior leader Manish Sisodia was appointed the party’s in-charge for Punjab, while Satyendra Jain was named co-incharge. The decision was made during a meeting of the party’s Political Affairs Committee, which took place at the residence of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.
Additionally, former Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who recently lost the Delhi Assembly election from Greater Kailash, was appointed as the party’s new convener for Delhi, replacing Gopal Rai. Rai has now been given the responsibility of Gujarat in this reshuffle. Pankaj Gupta and Mehraj Malik were assigned the key roles for Goa and Jammu and Kashmir, respectively.
AAP MP Sandeep Pathak, who shared the decisions with the media, also discussed the BJP’s promises regarding Delhi. He criticized the BJP’s claim that Rs 2,500 would be deposited in every woman’s account after their first cabinet meeting, calling it unfortunate for the country’s politics. Pathak emphasized that AAP would continue working for the people.
