Tarn Taran By-election: 12 Companies of Central Security Forces Deployed: Election Commission Says – Had to Do This for the First Time; Government Holiday on November 11.
On November 11, 12 companies of Central Forces will cast ballots for the Punjabi assembly constituency of Tarn Taran. According to the Election Commission, this is the first time that a by-election has required the deployment of Central Forces.
Central Security Forces have been stationed at 114 of the 100 sensitive booths here. All polling places have CCTV cameras and webcasting set up, according to S. C. Sinha, Punjab’s chief electoral officer.
