Former Punjab Minister Bikram Majithia Gets No Relief: Hearing Lasts 1 Hour in High Court; Court Gives Next Date After Listening to Arguments.
Bikram Singh Majithia, a Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab minister, has not yet been granted relief in the disproportionate assets case. Today, Friday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court hearing proceeded for the second day in a row. For about an hour, the case was heard.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for Monday after hearing all of the arguments and facts. A roughly three-hour hearing was held on Wednesday prior to this.

The Vigilance Bureau produced 200 witnesses: The Vigilance Bureau is working to prevent this case from becoming weaker in court. On August 22, a comprehensive charge sheet was submitted as part of this endeavor. This comprises statements from more than 200 witnesses and more than 40,000 pages of documentary material. The 2013 ED probe, which exposed a $6,000 crore synthetic drug ring, is connected to this case.
Former associates also recorded testimonies: In this instance, the Vigilance Bureau recorded the statements of six individuals, including former Punjab police officers, his former aide Peepee Singh (a former ED official), and his former associate and former MLA of Ajnala, Bonny Ajnala. This has enhanced the case, according to the Vigilance Bureau.
