Verka Applauds Warring’s Apology: Said, “Showed a big heart, targeting those who do political drama in the name of Dalits.”
In response to Punjab Pradesh Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring’s statement, senior Congress leader and former Amritsar Cabinet Minister Dr Rajkumar Verka said that Warring demonstrated humility and a big heart by apologising for remarks made about the late former Union Home Minister Sardar Buta Singh.
According to Dr Verka, everyone can make mistakes, but it takes courage to apologise after realising the error. He went on to say that Raja Warring has expressed regret not only to Buta Singh’s family but to the entire community, which has accepted this apology on moral grounds.
On this occasion, Verka also launched a scathing attack on other political groups. According to him, certain parties are displaying “vote-love” rather than “Dalit-love” in light of the Tarn Taran by-elections. Verka claimed that the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders’ regard for the Dalit people is only “political drama”. The public now fully comprehends all of this political pretence, he claimed.
Question to the Bhagwant Mann Government
Aiming at the Bhagwant Mann administration, Verka questioned what had happened to your party’s election-related pledge to select a Dalit Deputy Chief Minister. He stated that the parties discussing the Constitution under Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s name have to start by showing consideration for the Dalit community. Leaders like Buta Singh, according to Erka, have preserved the honour and legacy of the Congress party throughout the entire nation. Warring’s apology is evidence that the Congress still values humanity, respect, and social peace.
