Rape Victim Declared Dead on Paper Found Alive in Jalandhar: Came out of jail 4 years ago; was living a new life with a fake certificate.
A startling story from Punjab’s Jalandhar city has come to light. A young person who was pronounced dead four years ago has been taken into custody by the police. Himanshu, a resident of Railway Colony, has been identified as the culprit. He was incarcerated for a 2018 rape and POCSO Act conviction. After being granted parole, he had turned into a wanted man. He is currently being questioned by the police.
On October 8, 2021, Himanshu was reportedly freed from prison on parole. He pretended to be dead after his parole period ended rather than going back.
He hatched a plot. He constructed a fictitious death certificate with the assistance of an unidentified individual and presented it to the jail administration. After then, Himanshu’s name was taken from the list of prisoners, and he was deemed deceased in the jail records.
Was Living in Varanasi with a New Identity
Himanshu took on a new identity and moved in with his aunt in the Suranassi region with the aid of fictitious documents. He grew a beard and altered his way of life, drastically altering his appearance. No one in the area was aware of his true past, and everyone knew him by a new name. The police just learnt that the guy whose record claimed he was deceased was, in fact, still alive and going under a different name.
