Visas Issued for Pilgrims Visiting Gurdwaras in Pakistan; Devotees Arrive at SGPC Office
The Jatha (Group) to Depart on November 4; Devotees Offer Thanks to Sri Guru Ram Das Ji
The visas for the Sikh party (Jatha) scheduled to tour Pakistan’s ancient Gurdwaras have been issued. When the devotees learned that their visas had been approved, they went to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) office to pick up their passports and thank the Committee from the bottom of their hearts.
The pilgrims said they had long wanted to see Pakistan’s sacred Gurdwaras, including Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib (the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev Ji), Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, and other sites associated with Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. They revealed that they had started getting ready for this holy voyage and that their prayers have now been heard.
On November 4, the Jatha will leave Amritsar for Pakistan, where the pilgrims will visit several Gurdwaras and offer prayers for the well-being of the “Panth” (the Sikh community). All necessary arrangements have been made to give the pilgrims complete transportation, lodging, and security during their journey.

The pilgrims who have been granted visas can pick up their passports at the SGPC office on October 31 and November 1, according to Secretary Partap Singh. He continued by saying that on November 4, the Jatha will move to Sri Nankana Sahib, Pakistan, across the Wagah Border in accordance with the predetermined schedule. The Jatha will return to India on November 13 after taking part in Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Parkash Purb festivities and touring several other Gurdwaras.
