Driver Hits Policeman at Check Post; Policeman Severely Injured.
Instead of stopping at a Southern Bypass checkpoint in Ludhiana, a car driver ran over a police officer and attempted to escape. The event left the cop with serious injuries. Police arrived at the area as soon as they received the information and began pursuing the vehicle.
Following a pursuit, the police were able to capture the driver and seize the vehicle. The wounded police officer was taken to the hospital right away to receive medical attention.
