Vigilance Bureau Intensifies Awareness Activities Under the Slogan: Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility
Students and Teachers Urged to Come Forward to Prevent Corruption
Fatehgarh Sahib, October 28:
The Vigilance Awareness Week has begun in the Fatehgarh Sahib district and will run through November 2 as directed by the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau. This week’s events and seminars are inspiring people and students to actively participate in the fight against corruption.
Inspector Shakunt Chaudhary, Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Kumar, and his team held an awareness lecture at Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Sirhind, as directed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Rupnagar Range. During the lecture, the actions under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” were also highlighted.
In order to stop corruption, the speakers urged the teachers and students to come out with enthusiasm. They recommended filing a complaint using the Anti-Corruption Action Line number 9501-200-200 and the Toll-Free number 1800-1800-1000 if any government official or employee requests a bribe in exchange for their labour. Additionally, any person can file a complaint at the Vigilance Bureau Unit Office, according to the speakers.
The schoolchildren were given leaflets about Awareness Week at the ceremony. Malkit Singh Guraya, the principal of the school, and several staff members attended the lecture.
