The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has begun a protest against the local police administration amid Punjab’s Tarn Taran by-election. The party had lodged a complaint against Tarn Taran SSP Dr Ranjit Singh with the state’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). The Akali Dal demonstrated against SSP Dr Ranjit Singh Grewal in Tarn Taran city today.
The transfer of two DSPs is being demanded by the Akali Dal.

Kanchan Kaur, the daughter of Principal Sukhwinder Kaur, was among the SAD candidate’s employees (from a religious-military family) who were falsely charged the day before, according to Sukhbir Badal. According to the Akali Dal, the purpose of these fabricated accusations was to prevent the workers from participating in electoral campaigns.
The SSP of Tarn Taran, Dr Ranjit Kaur Grewal, promised that no one would be detained and that a SIT would be established to look into any fake cases in response to Sukhbir Badal’s warning and the public’s outcry.
According to the Akali Dal, Dr Ranjit Kaur Grewal is recording bogus charges against Akali Dal activists while serving as an Aam Aadmi Party pawn. Tomorrow, there will be a demonstration in Tarn Taran against this problem.
