Blast in Ludhiana Home, 15 People Burnt; Accident Caused by Spark from Firecrackers Being Made from Potash; Children Also Affected.
A bomb from firecrackers stored in a home in Ludhiana, Punjab, burnt almost fifteen persons. The blast within the house caused the fire to spread, destroying the possessions housed there. People in the neighbourhood left their houses as they heard the explosion.
It has been reported that the house had gunpowder, which was being used to produce firecrackers. For the forthcoming Diwali celebration, these firecrackers were being kept in storage to be sold at a store.
After receiving the information, the fire department arrived on the scene and managed to contain the situation. The injured were also taken to the hospital by their neighbours.

Another neighbourhood boy was also burnt.
On Sunday afternoon, while preparing firecrackers in Indira Colony near Cheema Chowk in Ludhiana, a neighbourhood youngster was also burnt in the explosion. Neighbour Usha Devi reported that her son was also burnt on the house’s upper floor. The hospital has admitted him. According to Usha, these folks kept gunpowder in their homes and made firecrackers and Ravana effigies.
The fire was extinguished. The fire in the residence had already been put out by the time the fire department arrived, according to Fire Officer Jashin Kumar. They were working to transport the blast victims from that location and check them into the hospital. According to him, the explosion happened in the building where a store for firecrackers was made.
Potash Was Maintained in the House, Says MLA Ashok
Following the event, MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi also arrived at the location. He claimed that potash was maintained at the house by a man by the name of Usman. The potash blast was the cause of the accident. The fire has injured 15 persons, including 8 children. There will be a comprehensive examination of the entire area, and anyone discovered to have illegally kept firecrackers will also face consequences.
The forensic team is looking into
Additionally, the forensic team has arrived at the residence where the explosion took place and is collecting gunpowder samples.
Eight patients in all have been admitted to the Civil Hospital, according to Dr Akhil Sareen, SMO (Senior Medical Officer). They have all received initial medical care. Five patients whose faces were badly burnt in the disaster are being sent to a higher centre.

Gunpowder was stored in the property, according to neighbourhood resident Tarun Kumar. There had never been an occurrence like that before, but today a child ignited the fire. As a result, the gunpowder exploded. The individuals inside were taken out and taken to the hospital.
Firecrackers were being created in a residential area, according to Paramjit Singh, who transported the injured to the hospital. The accident was brought on by this. I personally took four patients to the hospital. Additionally injured were neighbourhood kids who were playing there.

According to ACP Sameer Verma, we were informed about the explosion. Together with the Division-2 SHOs, we arrived at the location. In the home where the explosion happened, potash was stored. The incident resulted in the burning of 14–15 individuals. This whole area is being searched.
