Fatehgarh Sahib, October 16:
Under Project Jeevanjot 2.0, which is being carried out in accordance with the Punjab Government’s directives, the District Level Task Force, which was established under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind, carried out a check in Amloh to eradicate child labor from the district. According to the Child Welfare Committee’s directives, eight children—seven boys and one girl—who were discovered to be gathering trash during this inspection were taken to foster homes.
According to District youngster Protection Officer Harbhajan Singh Mehmi, a youngster who is older than 14 may work in a non-hazardous environment, but they must also be enrolled in school. He told us that it is necessary to file this information with the Labour Department after meeting additional requirements. Instead of unwittingly condemning the brilliant futures of innocent children to poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, and malnutrition by giving them alms, he urged the people to help connect youngsters with education. In order for the youngsters to attend the temple of education and get education, he asked them to collaborate with administrative officers and social assistance organizations.
Child Protection Officer (NIC) Neha Singla, B.P.E.O. Amloh Jagdeep Singh, Lavleen Kaur, Sub Inspector, Police Station Amloh, PHG Jodha Ram, Police Station Amloh Narinder Kaur, Case Worker Khushwinder Singh, and Social Worker Manjodh Singh were in attendance on this particular occasion.
