BREAKING: Punjab Police Reaches High Court Against Chandigarh Police: Says—FIR Filed, But They are Not Giving Custody of the Accused; Camped Outside the Police Station.

Regarding the custody of Navneet Chaturvedi, the defendant in the forgery case during the Rajya Sabha by-election, the Chandigarh and Punjab Police are still at odds. Punjab Police is requesting that Chandigarh Police take the suspects into custody. In the meantime, Punjab Police have set up camp outside Chandigarh’s Sector 3 police station.

In his appeal, Navneet also inquired as to the number of FIRs that have been filed in Punjab against him. He has also asked the Punjab Police to protect his life and property.

It should be mentioned that Navneet Chaturvedi claimed the backing of ten AAP MLAs when he submitted his nomination for the Punjab seat in the Rajya Sabha. He presented the signatures for this, but the MLAs deemed them to be fake.

After that, yesterday (October 14), the Punjab Police filed a complaint and travelled to Chandigarh to take him into custody. However, he was protected by the Chandigarh Police because of the Rajya Sabha nomination. The Chandigarh Police refused to let him travel to Punjab as a result.

As a result, the Punjab and Chandigarh police clashed at Sukhna Lake. They drew pistols from both sides. Kanwardeep, the SSP for the Chandigarh Police, finally arrived near Sukhna Lake and brought the defendant to the Sector 3 Police Station. Additionally, the Punjab Police were instructed to appear there with their documentation.
