Fatehgarh Sahib, October 14:
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind had a thorough review conference with the officials in order to prepare for the arrival of the large religious procession honoring Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th martyrdom anniversary. She told us that on November 21, the religious procession will approach the boundaries of Fatehgarh Sahib district from the Khanna side. It is now beginning in the Faridkot district in the Malwa region. She emphasized that every effort should be made to guarantee that all amenities are available on schedule for the numerous devotees taking part in the parade.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind stated during the meeting today at the District Administrative Complex that the religious procession commemorating the martyrdom of Guru Sahib will travel through Mandi Gobindgarh and Sirhind on the National Highway to arrive at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib on November 21. The procession will stay overnight before departing for Sri Anandpur Sahib the next morning, November 22, via Bassi Pathana, Morinda, and Chamkaur Sahib.
She gave the Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Bassi Pathana Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) instructions to make sure that everything is set up on the National Highway and internal routes so that the holy procession is welcomed with fervor and devotion. The devotees will receive uninterrupted langar (communal meals) at several locations, she said. Additionally, she directed representatives of the Education Department to host seminars in educational establishments honoring the Guru Sahib’s life.
According to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind, there will be a Light and Sound Show honoring the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at Aam Khas Bagh. Additionally, there will be Kavi Darbars, which are poetry gatherings, and Kirtan Samagams, which are hymn-singing events, at the eleven sacred locations where the feet of the Guru Sahib touched. She instructed the executing agencies’ Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Executive Engineers (XENs) on road repairs, lighting, ambulances, medical facilities, traffic signals, cleanliness, and beautification, among other things.
Police officers were directed to set up plans for efficient traffic flow, security, and parking during the conference.
In addition to representatives from the Health Department, Public Works Department, Public Health Department, Executive Officers, and other departments, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Surinder Singh Dhaliwal, SDM Amloh Chetan Bangar, SDM Bassi Pathana Harvir Kaur, SDM Khamanon Manreet Rana, Chief Minister Field Officer Shankar Sharma, SP Jaskirat Singh, Manager Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib Ranjit Singh, and District Development and Panchayat Officer Jaspreet Kaur.
