Rajveer Jawanda’s Death Case Reaches High Court: Notice to Government: Lawyer Asks, “Has Crore Cow Cess Been Collected? What Arrangements Have Been Made for Animals?”

The Himachal High Court has heard the case of Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda, who died as a result of stray animals. In a plea, advocate Navkiran Singh asks the government where the public cow cess that was collected has disappeared to. There are no formal plans in place for the management or maintenance of the animals, even with this collection. Innocent people are dying as a result of this inaction.

The Himachal government has earned 100 crore in cow cess, according to advocate Navkiran Singh. Each bottle of alcohol costs 10 rupees. Although the government has the funds, no management has been established. “We should ask the government what arrangements it has made with the Cow Cess money,” he said.

It is important to remember that Rajveer Jawanda was riding his bike from Baddi to Shimla on September 27. He was attempting to stop two bulls from fighting near Pinjore when his bike crashed. For eleven days, he was kept in the Fortis Hospital in Mohali. At the age of 35, he died on the 12th day.

His final ceremonies were held in his hometown of Gondpur, Ludhiana, yesterday, Thursday. Jawanda’s ashes (Asthis) were then submerged by the family on Friday at Patalpuri Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib. Rajveer’s mother, wife, and kids were also there at the time. On October 17, a prayer ritual (Bhog) for Jawanda would take place in Gondpur village itself, according to Harprit Singh, the Sarpanch of Gondpur village.
