Advocacy Meeting Held for Nodal Officers and Peer Educators of Red Ribbon Clubs

Fatehgarh Sahib, October 10:

Under the direction of Dr Dilwar Singh, Assistant Director of Youth Services, an advocacy meeting was organised for the Nodal Officers and Peer Educators of every Red Ribbon Club that is currently operating in the district.

43 Red Ribbon Clubs are operational in the district, he said. In partnership with the Punjab State AIDS Control Society, Chandigarh, the Directorate of Youth Services has made grants available for the Red Ribbon Clubs’ 2025–2026 operations. Additionally, a yearly calendar of Red Ribbon Club events has been released.

Dr. Dilwar Singh added that the Red Ribbon Clubs host events like World AIDS Day, International Youth Day, World T.B. Day, National Youth Day and Week, and Voluntary Blood Donation Day. The Red Ribbon Clubs’ mission is to educate young people at educational institutions about the negative impacts of TB, drugs, and HIV/AIDS while also motivating them to donate blood and lead healthy lives.
