Vijay Dutt, a member of the Punjab State Food Commission, surprised everyone by inspecting a number of government schools and Anganwadi centers in the Kapurthala area. Reviewing the ground-level implementation of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and associated nutrition programs was the aim of the inspection. The villages of Hameera, Dogranwala, Nadala, Subhanpur, and Dayalpur were the sites of the inspection.

Dutt, a commission member, gave school officials strict instructions to follow safety and hygiene regulations. He also underlined the importance of routine training for those who prepare and serve the food.

Conversations with Students About the Quality of Midday Meals
Authorities were also directed by Vijay Dutt to make sure the children’s health was regularly monitored. In order to evaluate the quality of the midday meal, he personally ate it with the pupils and talked with them about it.

He gave the involved departments instructions to get the water in the schools tested right away and to make sure that all children had access to safe and clean drinking water.

Schools Do Not Display the Commission’s Helpline Number
The Punjab State Food Commission’s complaint and helpline number (9876764545) were not posted at many schools or Anganwadi centers, according to the inspection. To make it simple for recipients to file complaints, Dutt directed all institutions to prominently post this hotline number on their property.
