Jalandhar gets 7, Kapurthala gets 3 new DSPs; DSP Ropad also transferred, vacant posts filled; Major reshuffle in ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ.
The ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ have transferred DSP (Deputy Superintendent of ਪੁਲਿਸ) rank officers across the whole of ਪੰਜਾਬ. Under this, ਪੁਲਿਸ officers of the DSP rank in Jalandhar and Kapurthala districts have been transferred. These transfers are routine and have been done by the ਪੁਲਿਸ department; there is no special reason for these transfers.
Ashok Meena, who was at a vacant post, Basic Training ASP (Assistant Superintendent of ਪੁਲਿਸ) S.D. North Jalandhar, has been appointed as DSP Kartarpur from SSP PBI Crime Ludhiana. Sandeep Kumar has been appointed as ACP (Assistant Commissioner of ਪੁਲਿਸ) Command Central Jalandhar on a vacant post.

The new ACP Special Branch Criminal Intelligence Jalandhar officer is Pankaj Sharma, DSP Ropad. The new DSP Technical Services Jalandhar is Jaswant Singh, DSP Operation Gurdaspur. The new ACP Cyber Crime Economic Jalandhar is Harinder Singh. DSP PAP has appointed Gurpratap Singh, DSP Rural Sangrur.
Kapurthala receives three additional DSPs.
DSP ASD Sultanpur Lodhi has been filled by Dharindra Varma, who previously held a vacant position. DSP ASD Kapurthala has been assigned to Sheetal Singh, ACP ASD Amritsar North. The new DSP Special Crime Branch Kapurthala is Harpreet Singh.
