Arrival of 2500 quintals of paddy in Fazilka’s grain market: Market Committee Secretary says, ‘Action will be taken against those who cut the farmers’ crop.’


2500 quintals of paddy harvest have arrived at the grain market in Fazilka. In the meantime, the crop sold for ₹3189 per quintal on the private market. The Market Committee’s secretary, Mandeep Kamra, has given the Mandi Manager, officials, and inspectors from the buying agency stringent directives. Additionally, he declared that any form of carelessness would not be accepted.

According to Secretary Mandeep Kamra, the grain market has made all the required preparations for the farmers’ crop. 2500 quintals of the 1509 and 1692 kinds of paddy crop have arrived thus far. Private bidding is still going on for this.

Additionally, the government starts acquiring the Parmal variety of paddy crops.

According to the Market Committee Secretary, the paddy harvest has sold for ₹3189 per quintal at auction thus far. In the meantime, the government is still purchasing the Parmal paddy crop variety. About 250 quintals of this crop have reached the Mandi thus far. He also warned the agency inspectors and Mandi commission agents (Aarhtiyas) that any deduction from a farmer’s produce would result in severe consequences.

Encourage farmers to just deliver dry crops to the Mandi.

Checkpoints have been positioned at the grain market’s main gates, the Secretary reported. Before the crop is permitted to enter the market, tractor trolleys transporting it into the Mandi are halted, and its moisture level is assessed. He asked the farmers to bring only dry crops to the Mandi and pleaded with them to cooperate.
