Students’ Overnight Protest Outside PTU in Kapurthala: Demonstration over not being allowed to play Dandiya with boys, allegations of misbehavior against the Dean.

Overnight, students in Kapurthala, Punjab, protested outside the IKG-PTU campus about their inability to play Dandiya. Additionally, they accused the university’s dean of student welfare of misconduct. The demonstration started late on Monday night and lasted till Tuesday, September 30, at five in the morning.

Following the Durga Ashtami Puja, the students had asked the university administration for permission to do a Dandiya event. Even though the administration was prepared to let only girls play Dandiya, the kids claim that they were denied permission to play the game with boys.
