House of drug trafficker demolished in Amritsar: SP says, “illegal property will not be spared under any circumstances.”

“In response to a tip, the Amritsar district’s rural police destroyed the home of drug trafficker Malook Singh, son of Joginder Singh, in the Raja Sansi neighbourhood’s Bhagupur Beth hamlet. This house was constructed by occupying government property without permission. SP Aditya Varrier was in charge of the operation.

According to SP Varrier, Malook Singh and his sons, Satbir Singh (also known as Sonu) and Ranjit Singh, have been involved in the illegal drug trade for a long time, and the villagers have been complaining about them constantly. Under the NDPS Act, 24 cases have been filed against them thus far.

According to SP Aditya, the family built a house on government-owned land that was the village’s “chhappad”, or water supply, in violation of the law. The BDPO office had received a written complaint from the people. In light of this, the BDPO conducted an investigation, reported back to the police administration, and suggested that the house be demolished. In response to the report, the police squad removed the unlawful building, demolished the house, and turned the area over to the Panchayat today.

The two drug dealers are escaping.

According to the SP, raids are being carried out to apprehend Malook Singh and his two sons, but they are currently evading capture. He added that this family has been making illegal money by instilling drug addiction in the village’s youngsters for the past seven or eight years.

SP urges young people to abstain from drug use.

The police have made it very plain that any property—whether it be a home or land—built with money obtained illegally from the drug trade would not be spared. Villagers expressed gratitude to the administration and police, saying that this move serves as a warning to other drug dealers and criminals.

SP Varrier urged the young people to avoid drugs and to start their lives by working hard and being honest. Additionally, he stated that the police should be notified of any information pertaining to unlawful activity.
