“Contractors stopped work from today in Ludhiana; President Vinod Jain says, ‘Gangsters beat up contractor’s son, demand CBI inquiry.'”
“From today (Monday) till Sunday, the Punjab Hot Mix Plant Association in Ludhiana, Punjab, has halted all road improvement activities. Das Builder’s son was beaten by five or six masked thugs on September 17, but the police were unable to apprehend the perpetrator.
The primary accused was charged with attempted murder, according to the contractors, but because of the administration’s leniency, he was released on bond. They are requesting a CBI investigation in this instance.
Tender for 12 Crore
We contractors have been collaborating for a long time, according to Prime Minister Vinod Jain. To spread tar on the roads, we all accept tenders. There was an empty tender at Moga. Bhagwan Das, our colleague, submitted an application for the tender.
The amount of this tender was 12 crore rupees. Gangster-minded individuals have now joined our company. About twenty to twenty-five people approached me when Bhagwan Das applied for the tender. I was instructed to retrieve the tender. I stated that since this tender is not from Ludhiana, I am unable to have it returned. Someone by the name of Barinder Bansal called me.
Thugs surrounded and assaulted
Some of his people are visiting them, he continued, and they ought to take care of them. Vinod claimed that everyone who arrived looked like a thug. None of you seem to be contractors, so I even questioned them about that. Those individuals stated straight out that we work for a man named Vikas. For this piece, I turned them down. Bhagwan Das’s kid was cornered and beaten by the same individuals.

Threatened to reclaim the contract.
Nikash Gupta, the contractor’s son, was seriously injured in this incident, suffering severe injuries to his head and feet. He was brought to Apollo Hospital in critical condition. The dispute over a tender that was submitted in Moga led to this attack.
In reality, Das Builder Company submitted a bid via the Punjab government’s tender website portal, and shortly after, a Moga contractor threatened to withdraw their bid. However, they declined to revoke the tender.
CCTV footage of an assault incident
Five or six masked youths attacked Nikash Gupta, the son of Bhagwan Das, with an iron rod when he was seated outside his automobile close to Sherpur Chowk. The entire incident was captured on CCTV as well. The masked youths immediately ran away from the scene of the attack. The Division Number 6 police station’s officers are looking into the situation. Vinod stated that they will take this protest to the state level of Punjab in the upcoming days if the police do not apprehend the other culprits by Sunday.
